About the Role
Assist in basic food preparation tasks under the guidance of the kitchen staff, ensuring all dishes meet The Speakeasy's high standards of quality and presentation.
Act as a barback, maintaining a well-stocked and organized bar, including restocking liquors, mixers, ice, and other bar essentials.
Efficiently clear tables, ensuring the dining area remains clean and inviting, and assist in setting tables for new guests.
Support the dishwashing team as needed, ensuring all kitchenware and utensils are cleaned promptly and stored correctly.
Help with receiving and organizing inventory deliveries, verifying quantities, and storing supplies in their designated areas.
Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices.
Be ready to step into various roles as required, demonstrating flexibility and a team-oriented attitude.
Contribute to a positive and dynamic working environment, ensuring seamless communication and cooperation between the kitchen, bar, and front-of-house teams.
Requirements
Previous experience in a food service support role, such as food prep, barback, or busboy, preferably in a high-end or fast-paced restaurant or bar setting.
A willingness to learn and adapt to different tasks within the food and beverage service operations.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cohesively as part of a team.
A commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
